Review on 🐾 Sherpa on Wheels Pet Carrier: Convenient Black Rolling Bag for Pet Transportation by Becky Dahl

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Thumbs up! Great carrier!

Fantastic! Getting our dog through the airport was one of the best things I have ever done. Drives very easy! or you can carry it with the top handle. I had exactly the same but without the wheels. Thats much better. We used this on American Airlines (August 2017). We have flown American Eagle RJ, MD-80 and 737 with no problems. However, on large planes you need an AVERAGE seat. If you can try and get extra seats in the main cabin with extra legroom, it definitely helps with under-seat accommodation (pay for an upgrade). Our dog weighs about 18 pounds and is over the maximum recommended size (9.5). "Height from floor to back, 17" long). We made sure it was fully locked at reception when we checked in (they can be picky about allowing the dog to roam). She did a great job but there isn't much room for a dog this size. We unzipped it so she can stick her head out during the flight. The front also opens so they can stick their heads out. See attached photo of it. center seat. The only complaint is that the dog gets hot in this carrier. Even with all the valves closed, it was warm. We lost our flag on our first flight. I love that the top has a small zippered pocket for a portable water bag (yes, take one), poop bag, and small treats. The insert can be removed for washing. We did a few "test drives" in the area before using it at the airport for the first time. This helped our dog get used to the carrier. We also used small treats as rewards for hitting the aircraft carrier. All in all, the trip to the airport was worth EVERY PENNY.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Vulgarity
