I recently bought this because I was tired of how quickly the included APPLE charging cable wore out in the plug. In addition, it is an officially approved Apple product. Since Apple approved it and the price was reasonable? I thought "why not?" and I'm glad I did. It does exactly what it's supposed to and feels pretty solid.
