Annoying External Component Error

This product's usefulness is the reason I bought it. Now that I'm working exclusively from home, having a keyboard and mouse seemed ideal. It was amazing to be able to switch from my Mac to my work PC with one click. In practice, however, things don't go so smoothly. Many times a day I have to unplug and plug the mouse back in for it to work after switching to another computer. Which annoys me a lot. But you get what you pay for, huh?
