I've spent a lot of money on "soft" slippers that either fell apart after a few washes or were ALWAYS too tight around the ankle. I even cut the elastic to ease the pressure on other brands. I tried them out in search of the 'right' slippers - they are so perfect I'm worried about wearing them. They hold the elastic well around the toe, eliminating the need for a tight band to keep it around the ankle. The small plastic inserts in the outsole grip the ground well and are also durable in the washing machine and dryer. Hooray. And, god, how SOFT and warm! I bought several colors and I hope they are always in stock as it is difficult to find a competitor.
