I used this material in the first half of the room and it seemed to work well. I pounded it and then pounded a few more to make sure it got in well. After the first half I realized I wasn't enough so I asked my contractor if he had a better idea. It's "a lot of moisture and when it finally gets sticky it just scrapes off." So I figured why not try the water. In short, I used a lot of water because it's cheap and works as well or better than this product. Probably foggy because I wasn't as sparing with water as I am with this stuff. Don't even get me started on your "scraper". Wow what a pose. An 8 inch tape knife works great for scraping. Good old H2O will do for this kid next time. save your money
