By far the greatest feature of this controller is its small size. It still barely fits in the space above the lower fan duct though. I am attaching photos of my setup from start to finish. I first trimmed the excess wires left by the original fan installer so I had more room for the controller. I didn't use the light control feature because my fan and light are controlled by two different wall switches. I found the instructions to be fairly minimal, as the writing was so small you almost needed a magnifying glass and it didn't take into account the dual wall switch option, which is fairly common in current setups. Anyway, I didn't have to control the light. After completing the installation, I left the lamp down until I verified that it worked. The first test didn't work. I checked and rechecked my wiring. Nothing. Then I took the batteries out of the remote and put them back in. Bingo! I liked the size of this device and its functionality and the ability to turn off the buzzer on the remote control.
