I usually wait a while before using a product before leaving a review. I think it's important for you to know that the ankle is snug to the ankle. I bought a size larger than I usually wear. If you had big ankles I wouldn't buy these boots. I would recommend one size larger than you normally wear. It's a solid build without being bulky. Lots of protection in the toggle area and shin area. good value if they last forever.
