I bought two of these to modify my rear filter that came with a 29 gallon TopFin. I don't use a cartridge and keep losing good bacteria in the system. So I decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did. I like the bags are not super big and fit perfectly. I've found them to work well in my aquarium. However, there are a few things I would like to mention here. Every aquarium is unique and has its own system. Be sure to remove all of the dust in the ruined bags (I ripped it into a bucket filled from my aquarium). I would like to point out that I add a sponge filter and bio rings and a sponge in the filter to the filter inlet. I also have two sponge filters already working in my aquarium.
