This is a great little toy but I'll get to that in a moment. I'm not impressed with the quality of workmanship on the toy itself. There were already markings on the back. I think it would be a great toy if the manufacturer paid more attention to detail. Especially with children's toys, you need to pay attention to how you make and finish the toy. Toys, chew, rub and scatter. Personally I would leave the wood damp and use a denser wood so it doesn't leave a mark if dropped. Overall I think it could be a nice toy with a bit of finishing. I'm not sure what the lifespan of the ink will be on a bear's face, but I think it will wear off over time. A laser engraved face lasts forever. Overall it's a good idea, but more attention to detail would put this toy on a 5-star list.
