Review on 🌸 Dritz 3010 Flat Flower Pins, 2-Inch (50-Count): Secure and Stylish Floral Accents for Sewing and Crafting! by Karla Richter

There used to be great pins, but not from this batch!

I was disappointed from the moment I inserted the first pin. It had such resistance, you'd think these things had been dipped in acid after they were made! I'm not exaggerating. A few years ago I bought a set of these pins and used them exclusively for my sewing and quilting projects. These were (are) the best pins I could ever wish for. I wanted to replenish my stash a bit as it has dwindled over time and a few flower heads were bent beyond repair or fell off. I confidently opened this new pack and placed it on top of my old ones in the magnetic holder. Wow, THAT was a mistake. However, I was able to sort them out by simply pinning something. The old ones (still amazingly sharp and smooth) slid on as if nothing had happened, but the ones from this new pack clung like a sandboard needle - if you can imagine. What gives? I'm not going to return them for a few bucks, and I've already thrown away all the packaging, but I'm pretty grumpy. Am I seriously supposed to test a box of these flower head pins at Joann Fabric to make sure Dritz isn't just badmouthing them these days? What gives? I'm not going to return them for a few bucks, and I've already thrown away all the packaging, but I'm pretty grumpy.
