phenomenal monitor setup that can also be a docking station

Got this to replace an old dock and single monitor setup my wife used for work. First, it is actually a daisy chain as the description says. I've read reviews that say it's not true that every monitor needs to be connected to a PC or docking station, but that's not true. Here's how to set it up (which isn't in the supplied manual, but I figured it out since I'm a techie). First, install the stand itself on the table and attach the monitors to it. Then, using a DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable (included), connect one end to your monitor's "DisplayPort Out" connector that you have on the left side and the other end to the "DisplayPort In" connector your monitor you have on the right (see my photos). Then connect the included USB-C to USB-C cable to the monitor's "Upstream" port that you used for "DisplayPort Out". So the monitor you are using on the left powers your laptop and sends a Displayport signal to the monitor on the right. Connect both monitors to a power source and plug the other end of the USB-C to USB-C cable into the laptop's USB-C power port (where you can connect a USB-C docking station). The monitor provides power to the laptop, so you don't need a docking station.*** IMPORTANT***: From the menu system (button at the bottom left of the monitor that connects to the laptop, see photo), scroll to " General" (below) and set the "DP OUT" switch to the "ON" position. The DP OUT output concatenates and sends the DP output signal to the DP input of another monitor. If you skip this step, the correct monitor never considered part of the daisy chain each monitor also has 2 USB ports 3.1 which can be used for USB devices although only one monitor connected directly to the laptop will work for that USB, so I think you're limited to 2 additional USB devices, so this setup in itself gives you the option of a docking station where you can power your laptop and plug in 2 USB-A devices and have 2 QHD monitors (i.e. 3 monitors if you use the Laptop screen count (see my photo) that connects everything to your laptop with a single USB-C cable For less than $800 this setup is a great deal (considering the price of a separate dock, mount for two monitors and two QHD monitors). I give him 5 stars.
