Unfortunately Apple didn't ship this cage as part of their very expensive new machine and it's with Apple but it's with Promise and now Sonnet has produced cages to fill the void. Promise includes a dedicated 8TB drive for people who might need an SSD or larger drives, and Sonnet has solved that by ONLY offering the cage and cables you need to add your own drives. They also used the extra space under the case to add a third 2.5 drive (usually an SSD) to use the motherboard's internal USB 3.0 port. I use these new locations to back up my main SSD drive and workspace. for video editing. The price is high for what you get but not too high for the competition.
