Total newbie to electronics here - I was actually wanting to buy a temp recorder that would graph the temperature in all the rooms for the last week - but couldn't find a device that does does what wanted (except a little expensive). So I decided to give it a try and just build it myself for a cheap price. I half expected it to fail, but it turned out to be a lot easier, and I even added some extra sensors because it was so easy and fun: I also enjoyed following the instructions included in this set and get a basic understanding of electronic components and the Arduino - and so far only destroyed one LED when I put the resistor in the wrong hole! However, for my temp recorder, when I needed a part, like magic it was already in the kit. The only thing I had to buy additionally was something to connect to WIFI.
