When I replaced the LS1 there were a few issues that needed to be addressed. One of these was a change in the route of the steam line. There were several solutions posted on the blogs but this seemed to be the best. Although this unit was originally designed to screw on a water temperature sensor, I installed a 90* brass fitting with a 3/8 bolt instead. I ran a steam hose from cylinder #1 to a connecting pipe, which allowed trapped air to escape into the radiator and out the pressurized overflow. The cooler engine temperature means it's great value!
