Purchased primarily to replace the small part holding the band down as mine is completely broken. My band has also started to crack where I fold it back. I felt it was the best deal with the best reviews. The band is definitely a different material than the OEM - it's more flexible, which I think could be a good thing. It's longer, which may have been a small disadvantage for me in general, but it can make sense to wear several layers in winter. The tape material isn't as smooth as the OEM - I don't know how else to describe it as "sticky". Putting the watch on is not as smooth as my OEM and as a pet owner I was immediately struck by how every bit of hair/lint was stuck to the strap. In the end I took the strap. Remove and return to my OEM using just a small piece holding the strap in place. I suppose having the belt on hand will be good if my belt breaks completely and hopefully with all the parts I'll get another year and maybe OEM will be cheaper then.
