The VW dealer charged $450 to replace this sensor. They still beat me up with a $140 diagnostic fee. I want my daughter to go to one of the auto parts stores. I'm sure they would do a free diagnostic. Knowing it was my right rear speed sensor, I looked for replacement parts and found this at Revain. It arrived quickly and was very easy to install. An OEM replacement costs just over $100. Thought I'd try this for half price and I'm glad I did. Revine was the cheapest. I've seen the same part/make at a few dealerships for up to $80. I'll see how it holds up but so far I'm happy. All my ABS, tire pressure, . there is no light now. It literally took me 30 minutes to install. Most of the time was spent looking for a jack and removing the wheel. The actual replacement of the sensor took 5 to 10 minutes. Removing a hex head screw and socket. I watched a few YouTube videos first and some had trouble getting the old sensor out, but my camera popped out right away and the hole was clean so I didn't need any polishing or anything. I was amazed that a dealer could keep a straight face and charge $450 for this repair.
