Recently my 2005 (naturally aspirated) Subaru Baja Sport had a check engine light on. After seeing code P0030 and verifying with a multimeter that the old AF sensor heater circuit was not working, I found this part and was encouraged by the other reviews. After installation my check engine light went out and my car is still running great. Tips: To get to the front AF sensor, I removed all the air intake pieces between the scoop at the front of the hood and the back of the hood. air filter box. To remove the old sensor I used some PB Blaster, lots of elbow grease and a 7/8" open end wrench. some copper anti-seize material). After I cleaned the threads, I hand-tightened the new sensor and then hand-tightened it about 3/4 turn with the same open-end wrench. After that I routed the wire up to the wiring harness and it was attached the same way the original sensor was attached. After that I reinstalled the air intake parts and started the car. NOTE: I had to start my Baja twice before it cleared the check engine light code itself.
