I bought this not expecting it would hold my little jumping spider but I was pleasantly surprised. This sleeve is very secure with no gaps for my little spider to squeeze through. For context, my spider is about half the size of a pea and is currently eating d. Hydei fruit flies, so keeping his tiny self at bay is definitely an accomplishment! It's definitely perfect for snails or other small critters, but definitely not for life-sized tarantulas. Acrylic is completely transparent and although no instructions were included it was fairly easy to assemble even for a teapot like me. I also like the magnetic lid, I just wish it could open from the front because my spider builds its nest on the lid and I sometimes accidentally break it.
