Review on WIX Filters - Heavy Duty Filter Mounting Base 24770 - Pack of 1 by John Rocha

This filter database works with my CAT filters and is made in the USA. The fit and finish leave a lot to be desired for a product in this price range. The threads on the filter adapter are sharp and will cut the aluminum threads in the filter, requiring a secondary filter to remove particulates afterwards. The face of the gasket is not perpendicular to the filter adapter threads, creating a gap between the filter head and the filter gasket. Sufficient torque is required to overcome the seal and set it in place. A file can make things better if you have a steady hand, but can you really pay that much and still spend half an hour on a file? I do not think so.
