Now that I'm retired I'm trying to learn to play the piano and I use VLC in my video to stop and start the video at certain points. I needed something that easily duplicates the video to repeat certain phrases like the left arrow key on the keyboard allows. The user manual says nothing about the virtual keyboard in the program itself. Once I opened the app, clicked the virtual keyboard inside the app, and clicked the left arrow key when assigning keys, it worked like a champ. Now I can learn to play the piano without having to pick up the mouse and move the video timeline back to repeat, and I can pause the whole thing while I practice and wait for the next step. I'm sure others will have similar uses for which this will work, and I highly recommend a three-footswitch keyboard. The pedals are spaced far enough apart that I don't accidentally step on the other, which is another plus.
