Review on Grind Your Way To A Perfect Edge With Grizzly G2790 Universal Knife Grinder by Cody Siger

Revainrating 4 out of 5

the weight of the equipment

The plastic wing nut came broken, so I had to make one out of aluminum on the lath. It was probably broken before it was packaged and shipped, being that no one looks at what they are shipping a customer anymore. Other than that the equipment works very well. It is a bit full of grease when you receive it, and it makes the adjustments rather difficult, but if you take the time to remove all that grease the item works very smoothly. All and all for the price you can't beat it. But the manufacturer can do a few improvements; making metal parts is far better than using plastic especially where you have a lock nut that will require a bit of force to tighten something down. Why use plastic?

Pros
  • This is the best tool for sharpening your grizzly blades!
Cons
  • The Grizzly G2790 Universal Knife Grinder can be very loud and disruptive, making it difficult to use in a quiet environment
