Pro This coffee maker is very durable Con I keep a measuring cup on the counter for filling Con If you don't heat the coffee pot, the coffee will be lukewarm at best. I don't know where people live who say it makes hot coffee, but in Michigan winters my thermostat goes down to 65 at night so the kettle gets cold. I heat the coffee pot overnight and let it sit in hot water, which means I can't use a delayed brew since I have to drain the water before brewing coffee every morning. At least that way I have warm coffee. The pod on the bottom doesn't get hot which means the coffee cools down before I'm done. The reviewer said they liked the fact that it has a permanent filter that reduces their carbon footprint. I literally have to laugh out loud because it takes more water to clean the filter, so you use hot water and you increase your footprint. So I just went online and bought the exact same Mr. Coffee that I had before. . So if anyone wants it, I'll sell it for $5, you pay shipping. The bottom line is I wish I had never bought it. Gave away $50. I hope this helps someone, this is probably the 3rd or 4th time I'm leaving a review out of hundreds of purchases. I was so disappointed I had to let people know what they were buying.
