Review on πŸ’» High-Performance Microsoft Surface Laptop 3 - 13.5" Touch-Screen - i7 - 16GB RAM - 256GB SSD - Cobalt Blue w/ Alcantara by Ryan Marx

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Warning. β€œ25” percent of Microsoft laptop failures in 2 years.

EDIT: Yes I have a bad model but in my opinion Microsoft has more than enough money to make a laptop reliable, especially since it competes with the most reliable laptop brand. A Surface laptop isn't bad, but it doesn't cost thousands of dollars or more when your own phone is likely to outlive it. Plus, for the same price, you can buy a laptop with almost twice as many specs. Save your money, don't support them and they have to get better if they want to compete. Update: It took about a month but they contacted me. I received a refund. I will never buy Microsoft hardware again. I will only support them via MS Office and Xbox. These laptops have too much design and too little quality (minus the aluminum body). Expect a working model to only last 2 years. The brand new device started with some delay and crashes, then suddenly I go through the startup process and change the wallpaper and everything seems weird and slow for a brand new device. So I go to reboot it properly and boom. Now the screen goes blank and nothing can be done. Once you can login with mini freezes every 3 seconds and screen flickering, the desktop goes blank and doesn't load icons or even the taskbar. It will stay like that for a few minutes doing nothing but toggling on and off and then AMAZINGLY back to the login screen. I tap the bottom of the laptop lightly and notice that the screen flickers more as I do so. It's like the gear is so close together that it's touching and shorting out everywhere. I was hoping that Microsoft would build laptops that would actually compete with Apple, but a quick Google search shows a 25 percent failure rate for Microsoft laptops over 2 years, compared to Apple's 10 percent (QC's leading competitor, in my opinion, and Surface Laptop).
