Easy assembly. Both times I used it, I used it like in the video. Cooking sausages in a cast iron pan. There was a little warping of the two bars under the 6" pan the first time around, but not bad. The second time around, two more rods deformed so badly that I couldn't put them back into the holder without manually bending them to the desired shape. Straightening them is not that difficult if you have enough arm strength and dexterity. Now remember this is over a direct log fire. Hopefully the video will give you an idea of the thickness of the bars. The rest holds up perfectly.
