I have depended on my husband to clean the kitchen since he retired and I was working. I finally noticed the stench in the kitchen, like something had died. Evil! Looking for a source, I searched from top to bottom and got to the sink. The guard pulled out and. They don't want to know, but that was the source. If you don't occasionally pull the guards out to clean them, slimy, disgusting grime will collect underneath. I didn't mean to clean up this old guard, too bad. I ordered these guards to replace the original guard. I like 3 packs because it's good to have a new one when you need it. I change guards every January after all the holiday dinner is gone. True, I don't have to change the guard every year, but I prefer, I just keep strict cleanliness in the kitchen. Given the price of these guards, regular replacement isn't a big deal. The quality of these guards far outweighs the need to replace them. One thing I think is a small issue is that the center hole is too small to accommodate fast flowing water e.g. B. if I run a disposal company or drain pasta. A simple solution. Simply cut off a very small piece from each tip surrounding the center hole to make the center hole slightly larger. I recommend these fenders. Just measure your old one and drain before ordering and it's that easy. Old ones out, new ones in. Ready!
