We have several of these shoes and overall we like them. Featuring only elastic laces, this model is slightly wider than the others and has a large toe box, which is great if your child has chunky "potato" feet like ours. All variations of these shoes are easy to put on because they open wide. These 12-18 months are still a bit big for our 1 year old so we haven't worn them yet (and can't tell the laces have snapped like some other reviews) but our original pair (6-12 months) is in good condition. Each variation of this shoe is slightly different. The picture shows the three we've bought so far. Our favorites are canvas models with Velcro closures at the top. The gray ones with elastic laces are what this review is written for and they are very wide. And we sent back the blue high top sneakers as the sole was slippery and not the same as the others. You can see in the picture that the black ones are sized 6-12 months (equivalent to size 2) and more worn. 12-18 month old babies are new and still a little big for our little one year old but we look forward to using them soon.
