Review on πŸ‘Ÿ Waterproof Non-Slip Boys' Shoes for Sneakers, Trekking, Climbing, and Boots by Lakshmi Pennington

Design flaws good for me

We hike a lot with our kids (currently 6 years old). Unfortunately, they don't make many warm hiking or climbing shoes for small children. It seemed like they were working. The product would get 5 stars but with one flaw it gets 1 star. The boot is warm, light weight, with good lug depth, a fold down metal clip which was a nice feature etc. The shoe was comfortable. Velcro straps were decent and allowed kids to tighten them themselves. The velcro didn't work that well in cold snow (5 degrees Fahrenheit) but they did the job. That's why the shoes get 1 star. The tongue of the boot is only attached near the toes. Waterproof boots, mountaineering boots have a bridge that connects the tongue to the boot itself all the way to the top of the foot. Because of this, the snow that is on top of the boot gets inside the boot. This means your socks, feet and the inside of your shoes will get wet. I don't know why they designed this boot. The photos show this boot and another boot with the correct tongue design.
