Review on Extra Large Long-Handled Pureness Litter Scoop by Jake Yap

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good, but not great

I was looking for a long handled dust pan and bought this to try. It has many good qualities: it's strong, has a large handle that's easy to grab, and the holes are the same size as small shovels. However, if you're looking for a really big shovel, it's not that much larger in the shovel, probably about 1/2" to 5/8" wider at the front than the regular-sized versions, and then tapers a bit towards the back. I was only interested in the long handle, so that wasn't a problem, but the extra plastic reinforcement that runs along the back edge around the handle makes it difficult to get through the hole in the high-sided tray I was planning to use. it is indoors I appreciate the fact that they try to make the item more durable, but for my purposes it just made it more uncomfortable. Also, the back of the hollow handle is reinforced with zigzag diagonal braces, which sometimes make it uncomfortable to hold. This is normal and you may find that these imperfections don't bother you, but people should be aware of this before purchasing. Update: I use this shovel every day, although I still have a few issues with it. It's very durable and gets the nasty job done a little faster. I end up cleaning by simply removing the sides of the box (high-sided iris tray).
