I bought this suit for my 10 year old son who has long legs. The size chart didn't help much. So we ordered the size he normally wears in pants size 48. And let me tell you when I say this outfit is too big. The pants were at least half a foot longer. I had to use double sided tape to hold the roll in place to quickly hem it for him to put on. There was a lot more, it wouldn't stay rolled up. I know other reviews say the pants were longer than expected. My son has longer legs so I thought they would be ok but I wasn't expecting them to be that long and tall. The shirt fits exactly how I imagined, just rolled up the cuffs and it was perfect. The vest was very boxy, lacked structure and didn't fit well. I didn't have time to send the suit back so we did it. But I would advise if your child is a size 10/12 then usually order a 10, more so if the child is slimmer and has long legs. The only thing I liked about this costume was that the color was perfect, it went very well with my sons school concert. The tie is adjustable at the neck, the child liked that he could tie it any way he wanted without outside help. The pants also had belt loops. I really wanted to love this suit but it let us down.
