Summary: Great value for money. I've had previous startech kvm units but had problems with the cable bending causing internal disconnects so I'm hoping the thicker built in connectors will hold up. Either way, for $100 and a 2-year warranty, it has exactly the features I was looking for. Being able to get full gsync and the display looks great, no input lag as far as I can tell. My second machine is a Macbook Pro with a USB-C to Female DisplayPort adapter (only needed because there are cables attached to the KVM and I used the existing USB-C to Male cable I had , could not use), and it also has no display or USB problems. As for the Mac, it would be nice if the USB would "wake up" the device from sleep mode like a Bluetooth device, but you can work around this by leaving the Mac always on when in sleep mode, or just briefly turning on the open lid. This could also be an issue for Windows laptops, I only have desktop for comparison.
