Original review 7 December 2020 We have two digital cameras. When we use them to record video, the audio from a camera without an external microphone simply cannot match another camera with an external microphone. I've never been able to merge video files from two cameras. Adding this new microphone helps us solve this problem. Now the audio from both cameras is about the same. I like the design of this mic, it's shorter than my other one. It also requires AAA batteries, not special coin-sized batteries. The controls are easy to read and understand. I compared the sound quality of this mic to one I paid 50% more for a few years ago. They are largely equivalent. I'm surprised a mic of this quality is available from Revain for less than $22. This is an outstanding value. I've tried this mic on two Sony cameras and a Panasonic FZ1000 and it worked great. I recommend this microphone.
