I bought this BC. I thought it was a curler but it's not. it's a curling iron! I didn't. My mom has a perm, but one side of her hair never stays frizzy. that's super weird. She wanted a new curling iron, so I'm ordering this one for her. She washed her hair that day because she was so eager to try this product. After MANY attempts she called me and said you have to use your hand to hold the curling iron. There is nothing for the hair to press against the wand. I went online and watched some videos and told her to come the next day and I will do it for her. NO. She has short hair (less than shoulder length), so every time I tried to curl a curl, all I could do was curl the bottom of the hair. who wants it. Of course if you want beach waves or just the bottom part of your hair well styled but if you want curly hair this product is not for you. Ok, now I've tried mine. I started on the lowest setting and couldn't get a single curl in my hair, just a few ugly waves. I guess that's called beach waves. To me it just looks like someone straightened their hair badly. So we cranked this kid up all the way, and my hair just above my shoulders ended up curling up. Well, like half a curl. the curl only started about 3 inches from the root. The wand does NOT come with a coaster or heating pad, which is a terrible idea for something that gets this hot. Also, the glove he's using to hold the curl on the stick is VERY thin. your arm is practically on fire, b4 it's time to let your hair out. For me, this product was an epic failure. I wouldn't spend your money on that. This seems like a good idea because it's flexible, but if it doesn't curl your hair like it should, what's the point in buying it. Oh, and I tied my hair back in a ponytail after of course having to use a brush. There were no curls or beachy waves in my hair. They've all dusted off with a few passes. I hope that was helpful.
