Background: Dell E6530 i7 2.7GHz, running at 3.6GHz Turbo, gradually overheating everytime when converting multiple videos, and requires 100% CPU speed on all 4 cores for a fairly long period of time. The cores reach Tj max 105c in about 20 minutes, just like a laptop. Got as many vents on the bottom as it should be, in my opinion. Tried 2 other coolers, both with 5 fans in 2 different configurations. Both were able to limit CPU temperatures to 89-91°C, one advertised a fan speed of 1500 rpm for the four small fans and a fan speed of 1000 rpm for the large middle fan. This Alien Studio cooler on the same laptop could keep the CPU warm while doing the same work. up to 85c max. My final conclusion when comparing this cooler to the other two was that the holes in the metal mesh that holds the Alien Studio cooler's laptop were larger, which allowed for better airflow despite having only 4 fans. So this should be considered when buying a laptop cooler. My only downside is that I don't need just 2 1 position fold out legs, I need two. The other two coolers had a flat fold-out panel at the bottom with slots to fit a rod for different heights/angles.
