Sturdy and accessible hinge, but needs further testing.
Tested 2 after 6 months of use and they cut sutures at 17.7kN and 17.4kN. These hinges are newly designed for 20 kN. Both hinges were purchased at the same time. I will buy a few more and test them right away and see what results I get and if the 20kN rating holds up. Testing was conducted using the Rock Exotica Enforcer and a 98:1 manual pull system.
- With heat shrink tubing over a securely sewn seam, a Prusik loop is safer and better than a knotted Prusik cord.
