Perfect for a memory foam mattress

I recently replaced my mattress with a TempurPedic and after spending an incredible amount of money on a bed I knew I needed to protect it. The protector I used on my previous innerspring mattress was in good condition but completely changed the TempurPedic experience. It didn't stretch at all and I didn't sink into the mattress like I should have. So my search for something new began. I scoured the review sites and wasn't surprised to find a variety of options and opinions on liners and treads. Almost everything I found was waterproof, with a plastic coating. It was clear to me from the start that I wanted to avoid this if possible, especially as even the best materials and construction cannot fully compensate for the fact that a layer of plastic would affect breathability. I tend to sleep in the heat at any time of the year and I also struggle with night sweats so I want the surface to be as breathable as possible. After a few days of browsing I finally came across this protector and decided to give it a try. It arrived quickly as expected. I put it on right out of the bag and was immediately amazed by the quality of the materials. It stretches perfectly to fit my 12 inch mattress; The upper material does not enclose the edges of the bed as in some product photos, but extends to the edge of the lying surface. After checking the fit, I washed and dried the protector according to the instructions on the box. It washed and dried well, it shrunk a bit in the dryer, but after I put it back on the bed and gave it a good tug on both sides a couple of times, it stretched to the perfect puff. I made the bed as usual and have slept on it ever since. I can confirm that it's stretchy and breathable; I didn't feel any significant temperature difference while sleeping and of course I sink into the mattress. feels different than sleeping directly on the mattress but not in a bad way. This protector adds just a touch of softness under the sheet, it's hard to describe but feels less "naked" than sleeping directly on the surface of the mattress. Even if you've experienced it, TempurPedic mattress pads are made of soft-to-the-touch and very slippery fabric. Leaves fall off overnight. This protection helps secure the blade, and both move together; I put an elastic band down the middle of my queen bed and both the sheet and the slipcover have stayed in place ever since. I haven't tested the waterproofness, but I trust the manufacturer. I don't have kids or pets and I rarely eat or drink in bed so I'm not worried about big spills but I want to keep my night sweats from seeping into the mattress and as far as I can tell, this protection. does exactly that and also adds some softness/cushioning under the sheet. Overall: I would highly recommend this protector to anyone who wants to keep the feel of their mattress and provide a quality, breathable and washable layer of protection under the sheets.
