Theoretically good. Keep in mind that the sides are a lot stretchier than the top, so with my 10" bun and needle it crumples and crumples under me. It would be much better if it was 6 sided and made entirely of the same material. The sides are pretty slick/slippery stuff which contributed to lumps as they didn't stay in place. Not impressed. We bought it for both the protection and the comfort. Comfort is good, but you can also sleep on a bare mattress as that gives all the protection. I love this mattress cover. I have a Tuft & Needle mattress that I tried with a different profile. The protector was good but didn't stretch. This made the mattress harder than it is and caused warmth during sleep. Note that Tuft & Needle is not a "memory" foam mattress, but it will still suffer if the top layer of foam cannot move.
