This is an innovative product that should have been thought of many years ago! These magnets hold the two parts of the tie securely together without the needle sticking through (and ultimately destroying) them. You can also place the back magnet behind your shirt and the device will hold your tie securely in place. I prefer to use another product in addition to this one to keep the tie in place.
