Review on Edwin Jagger Double Safety Razor by Stephanie Fields

Women can use it too

I haven't seen many women leave reviews so I thought I'd give my 2 cents. I use it to shave my legs and armpits. It was a bit scary at first because the razor is so sharp. But you just hold it at the right angle, don't press on it and you should be fine. There are even videos on Youtube where you can learn how to do it. I cut myself a little the first few times. It gets less scary the more you use each razor blade because it gets less sharp. I don't even use fancy shaving creams, just a little soap in the shower like I used to with disposable cartridges, but my hair tends to be sparse and fine so I'm not sure thicker hair needs cream. . I switched completely to this system and only use my remaining Venus cartridge system for travel. Once you use it, you'll wonder why cartridges have become popular in the first place - they seem like a no-brainer compared to a safety razor. I realized that increasing the number of blades in the cartridge system is just a gimmick. You don't need 5 blades for a good shave - you only need 1. I bought a mixed brand razor kit that included 30 razors to see which brand I liked. This safety razor plus a multipack of razors will probably cost as much as a new Venus razor and 8 replacement cartridges. And this safety razor is much better quality and gives a better shave, not to mention it looks a lot better - it's shiny metal and won't rust (although spare blades can). The only downside is that the handle of this razor is short but I would like it to be more authentic. However, I kept this one and didn't try the other one because the short handle doesn't particularly bother me.
