Revainrating 5 out of 5

Almost 2 years, definitely the last update.

I decided to write my original review and update it later. I feel there would be an honest review of this product and I want to be very thorough as well; $200 is a lot of money for my family, maybe yours too. I want to make sure you know all the pros and cons before making a purchase. For now - holy moth! He does exactly what he says. Vacuum cleaning of laminate, floors, carpets and tiles in the bathroom/kitchen. That's great work too! I have one less thing to worry about! I can't figure out the pattern it uses when it auto cleans, but it works everywhere! There are 2 long-haired ladies living in my house and the kennel. I often check the trash can and empty it when needed. Our hair was wrapped around the roller, but the puller pulled it out easily enough. He doesn't like dark corners, so make sure your rooms are well lit. It's not quiet, but it's not loud either. Quieter than a low speed hair dryer. All in all, it's definitely worth the money! Cons: Rolls up thin/small rugs and rotating brushes will likely need to be replaced often (that's just my opinion). *** 1 week update *** Still works! I think it has already paid for itself. I run it twice a day and have used the spot cleaning feature a couple of times for spills. The Max function drains the battery much faster. If he dies too far from the base, he will have a hard time finding his way "home", but I only guide him with the remote when he needs time to get there. Sometimes it doesn't fit well in sharp corners, I swept them out onto the open ground and gave them to the robot. (Lazy, but that's why I bought this thing, right?) I'll update again in a month with final thoughts. So far, so good! *** Almost 1 month has passed *** So I'm still pretty damn impressed. I blocked it in certain rooms to make sure it sweeps the entire room at once. It has a crazy pattern, and if you leave it, you'll get the whole space. After all. I find it easier to block it in each room and then leave it in our main living areas for as long as we want. I left my bedroom door open which has two steps down and this little guy fell. He went to the next step. It still seems to work fine, but I'm not taking any chances anymore. I realized that to remove hair from a roller brush, all you have to do is remove the cover and pull out. It's way easier than a seam ripper! All in all I would recommend this to anyone and in fact I have already done so. We are planning to get one for our parents for Christmas. I hardly touched my broom for almost a month. One less thing for a mother of 2 young children and a housewife. Money well spent!**** 8 months later ****I have uploaded a photo to show the problem my husband discovered. Our ILife started to cling to everything - carpets and nothing at all. We took it apart to clean it (it definitely needed it) and found that one of the wheels wasn't spinning. When he removed the wheel, he saw that the ground wire had been severed. When the iLife impacted, the wheel rubbed against the wires. 3 are worn out and the ground wire has come out completely. I'm not sure if we can fix this. It was good while it lasted, but it didn't even last a full year. I am extremely disappointed. It worked very well until this worked. I will contact the company to see what can be done. **Last update and final thoughts** The company is based in China, so many emails have been lost in translation. They didn't quite understand the wiring issue but sent two new wheels as a set and emailed a video explaining how to change them. No cable was replaced in the video. I decided to give it a try anyway and I did! It hasn't worked that well since then. I'm not the mechanical type of person so maybe it's not quite right but it works. I think he's very close to the end of his life right now. It's worse at detecting stair falls, picking corners it'll never go, and getting stuck easily or on nothing. Overall I would say it cost $200. Next time I'll invest more money in a device that will hopefully last longer. Overall if you are on a budget and in the market for one of these this was great and even with the issues we had the warranty was up to par. Customer service was good and does what it says on the tin. .***Last update 2 years later RIP iLife****So after my repair it still didn't work. Now he is definitely at the end of his life. It will clear a few feet, circle back, then stop and flash red once. I have not attempted to contact the company as I am out of warranty at the moment and not sure if I will need to repair this time. Like I said, for $200 I wasn't disappointed. Do I want it to last longer? Of course I want it to last forever! But this was our first experience with robot vacuums and I honestly don't see our future without it, just in this one. Great entry-level budget vacuum. can you live without Of course. Do you want? This little robot will answer that question for you. A clear NO from me! In the end you get what you pay for and it was definitely worth it. This time I will spend more for a better car. But I have zero regrets. If you're in doubt about getting a robot vacuum, this is the budget machine you're looking for. Not much to scold yourself for buying if you think it's a waste of time, and not much when considering the cost of better machines when upgrading. You can't go wrong. As a disclaimer, I have not been paid or compensated for any of these reviews. This is 100% honest and my personal opinion.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
