A diffused, glare-free glow is what I was looking for, but I like them too. I have a tuft to help our old cat see at night. I chose yellow for one of the places that needs a lot of light, isn't close to us and has little attractiveness to insects. It connects up or down when you need a free other side. The light sensor seems to work fine. Although we've only had it a few weeks, we've been using the greens for a few months. Everything arrived on time and without damage. Both lanterns come in the same box, made out of cardboard, not plastic, which you can easily slip the contents back into if you don't want to use them right away (unlike those brutal jigsaw puzzles with maybe a 1mm gap).
