Review on 🧵 WENICE Cold White Sewing Machine Light Strip: LED Lighting Kit with Touch Dimmer - Perfect for All Sewing Machines by Carla Anderson

I hate to be the first to not give 5 stars but although it emits very bright light there is no light or near the Needle - where I need it most. I have a Janome DC3050 and maybe it's the design of this model that doesn't allow me to get the light I need. I did as some had suggested and first used masking tape to try different ways to lay out the strip. The strip was too long, and since the crop marks were every 2 inches, I had a choice of making it about 1/2 inch longer or 1 1/2 inches shorter. I chose a cable that was too long, which caused part of the cable to kink at the bottom of the device, which hopefully won't damage it in the long run. But even if I had the perfect length, there is only light under the main body of the car - no extra light is added near the needle. I found the bar easy to dim and brighten, but it took a few practice clicks to turn it off, but it just takes some getting used to. Wenice also offers a COB magnet light that attaches to the back of the machine (click the box on the same page next to the LED strip description) and I thought afterwards that this might be a better buy. Then I realized that all the main parts of my car are plastic and the magnet doesn't work. This lamp has a gooseneck and allows you to focus the light exactly where you need it.
