So we have a 300ft driveway and wanted something that would alert us inside if someone is driving towards the house. And - sorry for the details - one of our two dogs likes to supplement their diet with excrement processing (hope you get what we mean). As our dogs are small (Chihuahua) they are trained to use the bath mat at home. If we see dogs going to the bathroom, okay. We can be ready to quickly collect the poo before they are hunted. But our eyes aren't always on the bathroom, just like we're not standing indoors staring at the driveway. So we bought two devices that sense motion (although the description seems to say they sense heat). . One is outside about 35 feet from the driveway entrance. The other is hidden under the bathroom vanity. When someone walks or drives through the driveway, we hear a bell. Every time someone enters the bathroom, we hear another shout. Both of these devices are battery operated. The receiver is connected and has a variety of sounds and tones to choose from. There's also a volume control (but honestly it doesn't get very quiet. It's still pretty loud even at the lowest volume. But that doesn't matter.) Having two different tones signaling us is excellent. We now have an audible reminder when to expect company or when our little chihuahua wants something to eat! It was well worth the money and a lot easier than many other similar devices I've researched. Many require line of sight between receiver and transmitter. It's just not possible. That works great! Highly recommended!
