I bought it on October 27, 2017. The setup requires a really hard twist of the suction button and extra turns after a few hours, but when it's on it stays on. It has served me for quite a long time, but corrosion began two weeks ago. Not a bad rust, but first and in the middle of the bottom of the bowl, my soap turned quite green when it made contact with the metal. Upon closer inspection it turns out that the chrome finish is corroding, likely due to exposure to soap and water as the finish appears to be peeling. Although rather green, it is a salt of chromium or nickel (when stainless steel corrodes) and is not entirely non-toxic. Damned! My kingdom for a stainless steel shower product that really won't corrode or break for years!
