I haven't had any suction problems but I've had this unit for less than a MONTH and it's already broken. Problem: One of the tabs for deleting the bottom part that contains all the junk is broken. Therefore, the cover cannot be reinstalled on the device. I'm very careful with gadgets, so I'm not too pushy. I would also look at the design; The battery compartment (pivoting compartment on top) is much easier to remove than the garbage compartment (this seems to be the opposite; I think throwing garbage in the garbage compartment is MUCH more common than changing the battery).
