It was easy to install, I bought it first and took it to Best Buy to have it installed. Apparently the guy screwed it up because he wasn't done four hours later. In the end he said the product was defective and I left the store frustrated that I wasted my time because this product had poor quality control. I even wrote a bad review. I have ordered a replacement. Well this time when the replacement arrived I went straight to my battery with both the new cell and the one the Best Buy technician was going to install. Guess what? It turns out the technique must have done something wrong because it worked. I then hooked it up to the fuse panel and routed the cables to the DVR with no problems. Works perfectly! Now I'm in the process of installing a replacement in my wife's car (yes, I ended up being charged for the replacement as I couldn't return the other one as everything was fine). It looks way better than the wiring coming out of the cigarette lighter socket. It looks like the DVR is factory installed in the car. I recommend this product.
