First of all this is a beautifully made item that comes in a gorgeous range of colours. Its shortcomings can be corrected almost free of charge. First, as other reviewers have said, you need to replace the "pads". I just cut out pieces of old pillows. Get some real memory foam if you want. Secondly, and I think this is important, just when you lift the gimp you can cut out the front pockets because they are made of quilted material and serve as padding themselves. People who make prepackaged daily supplements wear and embroider this notebook.
