They were packaged with the batteries already installed in a nice box with bubble wrap. Line directions were simple and clear. Don't forget to flash all remotes at the same time as this will also wipe your old device's memory if you want to keep your old ones as a backup. I made two new ones and two old ones and it takes about 30 seconds to program each one. All in all it was a very good deal for the price.
