Bought 2 of these to replace old compression equipment that must have been installed so long ago that trying to close one broke the handle. The project itself was quite disconcerting as both were so tightly attached I had no choice but to saw them off, the pipes were in pretty bad shape and it took some time to polish them as smooth as possible. Another problem was getting them tight, they were too easy to put on to be true and were expected to flood when the water is turned on. But they were waterproof, and I didn't have to fine-tune them to get rid of the compression errors. Now I have to admit that they don't feel as safe as the traditional ones on the market and I'm not going to give you a big push to find out. Even if they are amazing and definitely something I want to have in my toolbox for emergencies.
