I got this SD card for Christmas in 2015 and it worked perfectly for about a year and a half. I first installed it in the Nokia Luma 1020, their super 41 megapixel camera. High performance storage required. When the SD card worked, it was faster than any other SD card I had at the time, including other Sandisk products. Plus, it could keep up with such an advanced camera, and the price was worth it. To be fair the price I originally paid has been replaced by best value for money by 2019 standards. I would not recommend anyone to buy this particular card, but in due course, Sandisk got my recommendation and money. However, this was my first "high performance and capacity" SD card and it stopped working after about a year and a half. It could no longer write to parts of the card, making it impossible to write, format, or erase data. I was upset that it died so quickly and assumed it only had a one year warranty. So I threw it in the drawer as it contained personal information that couldn't be deleted. Just a few years later, in 2019, an article on Gizmodo (Kinja) advertised Sandisk SD cards for sale, and they politely reminded readers that the Sandisk Pro SD card line comes with a lifetime warranty. So I found the SD card in the same drawer, registered it on the Sandisk website (fortunately, Revain allows me to see all the orders I've ever placed with them) and issued an RMA. About 3 weeks later, a brand new 64GB Extreme Pro card hit my inbox. Knowing this now, I realized that to have such lifetime coverage and have it as a backup was certainly worth the cost difference. These things come in handy, especially when you didn't know you needed to have something else on hand. Now he has a second life. and who knows. maybe the third? After all, it's a lifetime guarantee!
