I've had it for a couple of weeks now and had time to play with it a bit before leaving a review. The press works in the sense that it heats up and performs hot stamping. It also looks well built and comes with a few spare cables. The temperature is easy to regulate. Here the pluses end. There is no easy way to install stamps on this press. The top plate has a slot that allows you to drive a screw to attach it to the back of your stamp or letter holder. The assembly of dies is very difficult because there is very little space for a hex screw and no space at all for a screwdriver. Once it's installed and heated, there's no way to swap out the dies until it's cool, as you'll have to put your fingers close to the hotplate to remove the screw. Also, and worse in my opinion, there is no way to align the die on the hot plate to ensure it is pointing straight up and your workpiece is pointing down. I also don't know of any adapter that could be added to accomplish this task. To make matters worse, when the machine head moves up and down, there is no mechanism installed to keep it level with the base. This means that when adjusting the head and setting the stamp there is virtually no chance of it being square and the base makes the alignment grid almost useless. In short I am very disappointed with this machine and would like to buy a stamp. Another.
